MISCELLANEOUS
College Visitation - students will be allowed one day excused absence for college visitation and/or enrollment. Students must fill out a planned absence in advance.
Military physical or testing will be considered the same as a College Visitation.
Assemblies - the seniors will sit in the front of the middle section, then the juniors, sophomores, and freshmen in that order. All teachers will be expected to supervise their
classes at assemblies, help in seating arrangement, and sit with their class.
Class meetings - will be scheduled one period each nine weeks. Other class meetings shall not be during class time. Maximum class dues per semester are: freshman -
$1.50; sophomores - $2.00; juniors - $2.50; and seniors - $3.50. No class or organization meetings shall be held without a sponsor present. Class and organization
sponsors are responsible to see that accurate records of collection and disbursement of funds are kept by the treasurer. All money is to be turned in to the activity account
custodian.
Classroom Fees- Students enrolled in wood shop and/or Ag Mechanics will pay #25.00. This goes towards their first project. Money is due by the Monday following the
first week of school. Students will be required to change class if money is not paid when due.
Bulletin Board - students are responsible for information on the bulletin board. Students are not to change or place material on the bulletin board without permission from
the principal.
Medicine - any student who is to take any type of medicine at school shall have a statement to that effect signed by a parent or guardian on file in the principal's office.
The student should bring the medication to the office to be locked up and dispensed to the student. An exception is a student may dispense their own asthma inhaler.
Tobacco - the use of tobacco in any form by students on school premises is prohibited by law. Students are not to bring tobacco on school grounds.
Alcohol - it shall be the policy of the Texhoma l-61 Board of Education that any teacher who has reasonable cause to suspect a student may be under the influence of or
said student has in his or her possession nonintoxicating beverages; alcoholic beverages; or a controlled dangerous substance as they are now defined by State law shall
immediately notify the principal or his or her designee of such suspicions. The principal shall immediately notify the superintendent of schools and a parent or legal
guardian of said student of the matter. Students reported using Alcohol during school hours (8:00 - 3:36) are subject to losing noon hour privilege. (Reference: O.S. Title
