EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Many activities are scheduled by the school to satisfy the needs and tastes of the student body. It is advised that all students participate in at least one activity. All students who participate in school activities out of town must ride the activity bus or school-arranged transportation to and from such activities. Texhoma School will not release students to anyone other than a parent. No notes will be accepted for release of students. EX: Statisticians

FIELD TRIPS

Field trips are to be approved by the principals and should by put on the calendar at the beginning of each semester. Field trips are a privilege therefore any student who is sent to ISS for disciplinary action for more than 9 days or 3 days out of school suspension may not be able to attend the trips, it will be left to the discretion of the administration. If a student is in ISS at the time of a field trip they will not be able to attend the field trip. If a student is not in attendance 80% of the current semester they will not be allowed to attend the field trip. Any student that is ineligible will not be allowed to attend any school sponsored trip.

JUNIOR-SENIOR PROM AND BANQUET

Expenditures for the Junior-Senior Prom and Banquet shall not exceed $1,500 without the approval of the Administration. The Prom dance will end at 12:00 a.m. No Junior High students will be allowed to attend the dance. No inappropriate dress will be allowed at the school sponsored dances. Students and their dates will be expected to follow the dress code listed in our student handbook under the Student Dress code. No sexually explicit dancing will be tolerated.
