COLLEGE CURRICULAR REQUIREMENTS/COLLEGE ADMISSION STANDARDS
FOR ADMISSION TO OKLAHOMA COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES
(effective for students entering Fall, 1997)

Students must meet the criteria for both the high school curriculum requirements and the high school performance criteria as defined in the following sections. Students meeting both the high school curricular and the high school performance criteria are eligible for admission.

3 units Mathematics (Algebra I or Higher Level)
2 units History (1 unit includes American History & Oklahoma History)
1 unit Citizenship (From the subjects of Government, Geography, Economics, Non-Western Culture)
3 units Other (Any of subjects listed above or selected from Computer Science or Foreign Language)
1 units Arts (Includes Visual Art & General Music)
9 electives
25 total credits

(A) Implemented contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds. (B) the criterion-referenced tests (CRTs) are designed to measure student attainment of skills established in Oklahoma's core curriculum, the Priority Academic Students Skills (PASS). Students who do not perform satisfactorily on the CRTs shall be provided opportunities for remediation (excluding Geography). (C) Contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds, students who do not perform satisfactorily on the mathematics portion of the norm-referenced test shall be provided remediation. (D) Each student who completes the instruction for he specified secondary level competencies shall complete an end-of-instruction test in order to graduate from high school. The end-of-instruction tests shall serve the purpose of the CRTs, and students shall be afforded the opportunity to retake the tests once prior to graduation. Each student's highest achieved state test performance index on the end-of-instruction tests shall be recorded on the student's high school transcript.
